Housed in a plain white building, the real treasure is inside. The amazing giant orb was built by Frank Kovac - by hand. This estimable man, who never realized his dream of becoming an astrophysicist, hand-painted over 5,000 stars into his private sphere. The globe is mechanical and its revolutions are powered by electricity. The fact that it is not state-of-the-art is even more impressive - and that a single man could create the "world's largest rolling, mechanical globe planetarium" is nothing short of miraculous.
