Description:

The animal sculptures on the lawn of this charming old house were singlehandedly created by Mary Nohl. Her residence was dubbed "The Witch's House" and was threatened to be demolished until it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Educated at the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago, Mary Nohl started her stone creations in the '60s until her death in 2001. Although the property is not open to the public, her artwork can easily be seen from the road.
