Description:
Lake Superior during the last Ice Age sculpted the rocky formations we see today in this area. One of these formations is the Old Man of the Dalles, a basalt cliff that looks like a giant masculine head and bust. He oversees the lake seeming to stand sentry. He's located in Interstate State Park. To see his best angle stand on the cliffs at the east side of the river.
