Description:
Reconstruction of the dam started in 2015 to replace one of four built in 1891. The river itself flows through a 200-foot-wide gorge that was chiseled out millions of years ago. Nearby attractions include Willow Falls which can be accessed via a 1/4 mile walking path from the parking lot and the Nature Center. To get there find your way to Willow Falls Parking Lot and then drive to your left to find a road going southwest. Drive on this road for 2 miles past the Nature Center until you reach your destination. There will be some parking right before the dam.
