Description:

No matter how advanced our methods of travel and communication will become, the seemingly simple railroad is an all-encompassing view of history. So is the Wyoming Transportation Museum, informally dubbed "Cheyenne Depot Museum." The depot itself has been around since the 1880s, was listed on the NRHP in 1973, and the Union Pacific Railroad donated it as a museum in 1993. The building itself is a gorgeous example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, housing all kinds of artifacts from the 1800s.
