Description:

Fort Bridger is named after its founder, the hardy mountain man, Jim Bridger. It was a trading post in the 1840s which supplied wagon trains going through treacherous trails and mountain passes, most notably the Oregon Trail. Another claim to fame is its role as a resupplying station for the ill-fated Donner Party.
