Fort Laramie

Saves: 5
Check-ins: 3
This 19th-century building was originally a fur trading fort, but became a military post until it was shut down in 1890. This was an important part of the westward expansion of America's borders, as well as the skirmishes between Native Americans and European settlers. The grounds are extensive- - plenty of space to walk around on and plenty to see. Some days, rangers will put on an artillery show. A musuem and gift shop round out this educational experience.
