Isa Lake

Yellowstone holds many marvels of science and nature and Isa Lake is not the least of them. As the only natural lake in the world that drains into both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans this body of water is a singular entity. Along with draining into oceans on opposite U.S. coasts it is also unique for draining backwards. To see this natural phenomenon at its prettiest visit in spring when the mountain snows melt and create a large volume of runoff.
