Description:

• PERMANENTLY CLOSED •
Some may call this a trail, but it's more of a stairway consisting of 328 steps. This trail/staircase is visible from the opposite canyon side and is a must-do! The stairs weave their way down the canyon wall to a pleasant outlook at the base 3/4 of the way down the canyon where you can get a nice view of the Lower Falls. There are a few switchbacks that you'll encounter before you reach the first concrete steps which abruptly turn into a metal staircase that takes you along the canyon wall. This trail is the oldest and most famous trail into the canyon closest to the lower falls. Enjoy the view of the falls from the bottom and charge up your batteries for the steep climb out! Note the stairs at this writing are rusted and dangerous and the trail is likely closed for this reason.
